Store Manager 100% (m/w/d) – ALEMI Store Munich

Store München
Full-time
Temporary

Your responsibilities

We're opening a new ALEMI pop-up store in the heart of Munich soon – initially for a 6-month build-up phase. If the store performs well, our clear goal is to turn it into a permanent ALEMI store. For this exciting milestone, we're looking for an experienced Store Manager (100%) to help shape the build-up on-site from day one.

Start: End of September 2026, incl. 3 training days in Zurich to kick off
Location: Munich (exact address to follow after lease signature)
Workload: 100%
Contract type: Initially fixed-term for 6 months (pop-up phase). If the store performs well during this time, our goal is to continue both the store and your position on a permanent basis – without this creating any legal claim.

Our mission
ALEMI stands for more than bags: "Empowering women with and beyond handbags." As Store Manager, you bring this attitude directly into the store and into contact with our customers – you're part of the face of this mission on-site.

Leadership & management
  • Store build-up & opening: Actively help shape the store launch in Munich and build smooth day-to-day operations from the start.
  • Team leadership: Manage the sales team, including creating shift schedules and training staff.
  • KPI management: Achieve store KPIs (e.g. sales targets, conversion rate) through active monitoring and course-correction in daily operations.
  • Teamwork: Work closely with the Sales Associates to build a strong and motivated team.
  • Munich team hub: A small office space is also being set up in the store – some of our team will be there regularly, others temporarily. You'll work closely and directly with them, not just remotely.

Day-to-day operations
  • Sales: Active sales on the floor (>50% of the time).
  • Store operations: Ensure cleanliness, order, and operational excellence throughout the store.
  • Reporting: Complete daily closings as well as weekly and monthly reports.
  • Customer relationships: Build and maintain long-term customer relationships on-site to increase repeat purchase rate and customer loyalty.
  • Personalization & repairs: Carry out personalizations (e.g. engravings/embossing) and small bag repairs, and assist customers with simple fixes.
  • Returns & fulfillment: Handle part of our returns (offline and, where applicable, online) and occasionally support fulfillment tasks (picking/shipping) for our warehouse/Eurotrade.

Development & Quality
  • Feedback management: Collect and consolidate product and process feedback and initiate improvement measures.
  • Process optimization: Drive and implement optimizations in store operations.

Your profile

How you think matters more to us than what's on your resume: we're not looking for someone who just gets through tasks, but someone who thinks ahead, takes ownership, and actively helps shape the store.

  • Experience: Several years of experience as a Store Manager, ideally in fashion, apparel, or leather goods; prior experience with a store opening is a plus.
  • Drive: Ability to get things done quickly and reliably.
  • Planning & strategic thinking: Confident in navigating between operational and strategic tasks.
  • Coordination: Effective collaboration with other teams (especially the Zurich store team, Finance, Product Management, Operations, Customer Service).
  • Ownership: You think ahead, take responsibility, and don't wait for instructions – active problem-solving rather than just executing tasks.
  • Communication skills: Fluent in German and English, additional languages a plus.
  • Growth mindset: Willingness to continuously develop yourself and the store.

Additional requirements
  • An affinity for high-quality leather goods and fashion is a plus.
  • Motivation to help shape and continuously improve our customers' shopping experience from the ground up.

Your benefits

  • Fair compensation: Including exclusive employee discounts on our products.
  • Creative freedom: A unique opportunity to help shape the opening of a new Munich store from day one.
  • Perspective: If the store performs well in the first 6 months, you'll have the chance to help us turn the pop-up into a permanent ALEMI Store Munich – and stay on board long-term as Store Manager yourself.
  • Work environment: A new, modern, and centrally located ALEMI store in Munich, with its own office and break room with a kitchen.
  • Development: Individual training and development opportunities, close exchange with the founding team.
  • Responsibility: As our first Store Manager outside Switzerland, you'll play a central role in ALEMI's growth in Germany – and help decide whether the pop-up becomes a permanent location.
